Frommer’s Peru is a good, solid guide that covers the standard tourist attractions, hotels, and restaurants. If you’re interested in something unusual or out of the way, then you are out of luck. Machu Picchu Train

We get to sleep in! After much wrangling with PeruRail, we finally confirmed our reservations. We’ll be leaving Ollantayambo for Machu Picchu at 10:30am in a Vistadome Valley train. We’ll head to Cusco the next evening at 5 pm.

Gringo Bill’s

Hurrah! We have a hotel for Aguas Calientes. We’ll be at Gringo Bill’s Hostal. That was a close call, now all we have to do is figure out how we are getting there. Don’t forget to pack a bathing suit, otherwise you’ll have to rent one at the hot springs.
